SOMEONE ON THE FLOOR WITH YOU Two hours, Ottawa area, free. Pick the job you actually need — partner, or sim — and book it. 01 Race-day partner Race morning · Doubles You need someone who will show up, share the work, and not turn your first HYROX into a hero session. Jesse takes the stations you want him on, or splits the race evenly. You still race. You are not alone on the floor. For: First-timers, someone whose partner bailed, mixed doubles looking for a local. 02 Simulation partner 2 hours · Ottawa-area floor A dress rehearsal: eight stations, running between them, transitions practiced until they are boring. Gym or Pop-Up, not race-day carpet. Feel the ugly parts before they cost you a heat. For: Anyone with a race on the calendar who has never done the full format tired. WEEK BEFORE, MORNING OF, ON THE FLOOR The week before — A short call: heat time, what you’re carrying, who takes sled vs wall balls, what “abort” looks like. Race morning — Check-in, bag drop, warm-up that does not empty the tank. On the floor — Even splits or a job split you agreed to. No surprise heroics. WHAT THIS IS NOT - Not a coaching package. He will not write your 12-week program. - Not a guarantee of a time. The floor decides that. - Not unlimited. Ottawa-area, two hours, one athlete or pair at a time. - Not a substitute for a gym. You still need somewhere to train.
